How Northmint works
Northmint creates a Solana token for you in one transaction. This site is connected to Solana mainnet, so everything uses real funds.
Launching
- Fill in the form. Name, symbol, the currency it is pegged to, an optional picture and how many coins to create.
- Approve one transaction in your wallet. It creates a Token-2022 mint with the name, symbol and picture stored on-chain, and sends the coins to your wallet.
- You stay in control. Your wallet is the mint authority, so you decide the supply and can mint more later.
Know the limits
- Northmint creates the token, not the peg. A coin holds its value only if you back it with reserves and let people redeem it.
- Northmint does not convert between currencies.
- Offering a fiat-pegged token to the public can require a licence. In the EU that is MiCA, regardless of the chain. Get legal advice first.
